The Selden Rodkicker Type 20L – Min Length 2260 mm – 5000 N Gas Spring is a premium, high-force rigid boom vang engineered for demanding sail handling on larger sailboats and yachts. Equipped with a 5000 N gas spring, this Rodkicker generates very strong upward force when the kicking strap is released, helping to open the mainsail leech and support precise trim even in heavy wind conditions.

This high-force rigid vang enhances safety by stabilising the boom during manoeuvres and reefing, preventing it from dropping into the cockpit or onto the coach roof. It also effectively increases the mechanical advantage of your kicking strap (kicking strap not included), making trim and tension control easier and more predictable.
