The Selden Rodkicker Type 20L – Min Length 2260 mm – 2500 N Gas Spring is a heavy-duty rigid boom vang designed to deliver strong upward force and exceptional sail control on larger sailboats and yachts. Fitted with a 2500 N gas spring, this Rodkicker helps lift the boom when the kicking strap is eased, opening the mainsail leech and aiding precise trim — especially effective in heavier wind loads and more demanding sailing conditions.

This rigid vang improves safety and handling by preventing the boom from dropping into the cockpit or onto the coach roof during manoeuvres or reefing. It also effectively doubles the mechanical advantage of your kicking strap (kicking strap not included), making it easier to achieve and maintain correct tension.
