A small amount of Tef-Gel is enough to prevent the galvanic exchange of electrons and the resulting corrosion between different metals and materials (aluminium, stainless steel, carbon, etc.).
Tef-Gel applied to both nut and bolt or bolt and tapped hole surfaces leaves a solid film of PTFE, which prevents welding by corrosion.
PTFE is an ultra-fine powder that extrudes away from the contact surface and into cavities in the surrounding surfaces.
Tef-gel can also be used as a seawater-resistant lubricant and sealant to prevent water penetration.
As Tef-Gel contains no volatile solvents, it does not evaporate, freeze or dry out, and provides long-lasting protection for components, making them easy to dismantle.
Tef-Gel prevents corrosion welding of stainless steel, inconel and other nickel alloys.
Tef-Gel is not an electrical insulator, and does not increase the electrical resistance of connections.
