The Selden Rodkicker Type 30L – Min Length 2700 mm – 2500 N Gas Spring is a robust rigid boom vang designed for larger sailboats and yachts. Fitted with a 2500 N gas spring, this Rodkicker assists in lifting the boom when the kicking strap is eased, improving mainsail leech opening and aiding precise trim — especially helpful in a wide range of wind conditions.

In addition to supporting the boom during manoeuvres and reefing, the Rodkicker helps prevent the boom from dropping into the cockpit or onto the coachroof. It also increases the mechanical advantage of your kicking strap (kicking strap not included), making it easier to achieve and maintain correct tension. Built from corrosion-resistant materials with a durable construction, the Rodkicker 30L is suited for long-term use in demanding marine environments.
