Selden Rodkicker 10S (1360 mm) – Standard Gas Spring 600 N

The Selden Rodkicker Type 10S (1360 mm) with an integrated 600 N gas spring is a fixed boom vang designed to improve sail handling, safety and control at sea. When the kicking strap is eased, the gas spring automatically lifts the boom, opening the mainsail leech and assisting trim in light to moderate wind. This reduces dependency on a topping lift and makes reefing faster and more controlled.

The Rodkicker also supports the boom during heavy loads and prevents it from dropping into the cockpit or onto the deck while manoeuvring. By effectively doubling the purchase of your kicking strap (strap not included), the fitting offers additional mechanical advantage for easier trimming and tension control.
