The Selden Rodkicker Type 10L (1670 mm) with integrated 600 N gas spring is a fixed boom vang designed to enhance safety, control and sail performance on board. When the kicking strap is eased, the gas spring automatically lifts the boom, opening the leech of the mainsail and assisting in trim — particularly useful in light to moderate wind.

This Rodkicker also prevents the boom from dropping into the cockpit or onto the deck while manoeuvring. By effectively doubling the purchase of your kicking strap (strap not included), it delivers added mechanical advantage for trimming and controlled sail tension.
