Selden PBB80 Single Block 80 mm – Plain Bearing

The Selden PBB80 single block (408-001-01) is designed for demanding sailing applications where maximum load capacity and durability are essential. With its large 80 mm sheave, this block is suitable for heavily loaded systems on cruising yachts, performance boats and larger rigs.

As part of the Selden PBB plain bearing series, this block is optimized for high static loads and controlled trimming rather than high-speed applications. It is commonly used in halyard systems, mainsheet setups and boom vang systems.

The block features a glass fibre-reinforced 80 mm sheave with a polymer bushing, ensuring smooth rope handling under heavy load. The stainless steel reinforcement strap combined with fibre-reinforced composite cheeks provides excellent strength and prevents line jamming.

The swivel head with sliding locking mechanism allows the block to rotate freely or be fixed in position depending on installation requirements.

With a safe working load of 2000 kg and a breaking load of 4000 kg, this block is built for high-load rigging systems.
