Selden PBB100 Single Block 100 mm – Plain Bearing

The Selden PBB100 single block (410-001-01) is the largest model in the Selden plain bearing block range, engineered for extreme load applications on larger yachts and performance rigs. With a 100 mm sheave and reinforced construction, this block is built to handle loads up to 4 tons, making it ideal for demanding halyard, sheet and control systems.

Unlike smaller sizes, the PBB100 features a machined, black anodised aluminium sheave combined with a polymer bushing and two axial Delrin® bearings. This design stabilises the sheave when the line enters or exits at an angle, ensuring smooth operation under high loads.

The robust construction includes anodised aluminium cheeks, stainless steel load components and insulation between materials to prevent corrosion. The swivel head can be fixed in position using a set screw, allowing precise alignment in complex rigging setups.

With a safe working load of 4000 kg and a breaking load of 8000 kg, this block is designed for the most demanding sailing conditions.
