The NV Charts Nederland NL1 Oostende naar Borkum is a chart series specially designed for recreational boating and contains the nautical charts in various sizes, as well as all harbour plans and details for approaches and passages in the waters. In addition, there are also passageways for bridges, power lines, etc., as well as all nautical and navigational information. Thanks to the clear layout, the recreational skipper can quickly find approaches, harbours and anchorages and is made aware of navigation important details that also appear in the NV Charts app. The chart series impresses with its optimal dimensions and balanced sheet sections.

Regions overview

The Dutch NV nautical charts start with the NL1. This chart set follows on from the southernmost German NV North Sea chart DE13 and is the ideal connecting chart for travelling directly to the United Kingdom or crossing the English Channel on the French side. Wind farms, oil platforms and traffic separation schemes are clearly labelled on this chart set. Important harbour approaches such as Borkum, Terschelling, Vlissingen, Ijmuiden/Amsterdam and Oostende are also shown, so that in the event of bad weather there is the possibility of mooring again and possibly seeking shelter. Otherwise, the NL1 is a set of maps that is ideal for travelling and transit.

We recommend the NL2 as an additional map set to get to know the offshore Wadden Islands, or the UK5 and UK4 for travelling directly to Great Britain. The FR1 is ideal if you want to continue through the English Channel on the Normandy side. There is also a connection to the NL3 for the IJsselmer, the NL4 for the Rijn & Maas Delta and the NL5 for the Ooster- & Westerschelde.
