A blank Navionics+ Update map is the way to update an old Navionics+ map and to upgrade a Navionics map to Navionics+.

A Navionics+ Update map is empty so one has the free choice of putting the same old area on the empty map or an area of one's choice. Activation is done using an old map. A Navionics+ Update map can be activated with Navionics/Navionics+ maps (except Platinum/Platinum+) and a compatible map from C-MAP®, Lowrance® and Magellan®.

Every user of Navionics maps is entitled to 12 months of free updates via the Internet after purchasing an update or a new product. Simply connect the map to the PC using a standard map reader and go to www.navionics.com. This activates the map and immediately provides it with the latest version.

To update a Navionics map, buy a blank Navionics+ Update map in the shop and activate it with an old Navionics+ Small map, for example, and then select a new larger Large area.

Do not hand in the old map because one needs the old map for activation of the new blank Navionics+ Update map.

NB. Updating a Platinum/Platinum+ map requires a physical map exchange/update. The dealer can provide information on this.
