NASA Vector Navtex antenna

In most small boats, the on-board electrical system acts as an effective ground for the Navtex antenna, but it can also be a source of interference. Electrical interference can lead to poor Navtex reception especially in ports. 

The omni-directional H Vector antenna is not sensitive to the electrical system but to the magnetic component of the navtex signal. Because the H Vector antenna does not require grounding, it is less sensitive to locally generated interference. This results in a significant improvement in Navtex reception. For use with BT-3, Easy Navtex, Clipper Navtex, Target Pro Navtex and PC Navtex Pro black box.
