The Garmin OnBoard™ Wireless MOB System is a modern safety solution for boaters that replaces traditional tethered kill lanyards with wireless technology. Small, wearable MOB tags can be worn on the wrist, attached to a lifejacket or clipped with a carabiner, giving you the freedom to move around while remaining protected. When a tag loses connection with your compatible Garmin chartplotter, the system immediately marks a MOB waypoint, sounds a loud external alarm and notifies the helm. Assign a tag as “Captain” and the system can also automatically cut engine power in a man-overboard event, increasing safety during recovery. The OnBoard system supports up to 8 tags, is designed for marine conditions, and integrates seamlessly into your Garmin navigation setup for peace of mind on every trip.
