Meet EASYSEA Olli, the first and only anti-shock low friction rings with double protection to protect boat decks or hatches and portholes from damage caused by bumps and scratches. The Olli also prevents annoying noise from wind and wave vibration.
The EASYSEA Olli low friction rings did not receive a Deck Equipment DAME Design Award nomination for nothing. Olli is made in Italy from solid aluminium and machined with a CNC machine for a mix of finish quality and technical robustness. The anti-corrosion treatment of Olli's surface is obtained by anodising. Fully resistant to marine weathering. Available in different sizes.
How to determine the correct Olli?
To determine the breaking load required, the formula below can be used to calculate.
Sail area in square metres x wind speed squared (in knots) x 0.021 = Working load (in daN*) x 5 = Breaking load
*1 daN = 1.01971621 kg
Or the quick formulas below:
- Required breaking strength of halyard or mainsheet = Genoa area x 80
- Required breaking strength of halyard or mainsheet = Main sail area x 100
- Required breaking strength of spinnaker halyard or mainsheet = Spinnaker area x 30
