MIPV is the new generation of solar energy. MIPV uses Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) technology, thin-film solar cells to convert sunlight into energy. They differ from traditional solar photovoltaic (PV) systems based on crystalline systems that use heavier, bulkier photovoltaic solar panels. As a result, no additional support/racks are needed and mounting is easy through a simple peel-and-stick application without drilling etc. As these panels are not 'glassy', they are unbreakable and flexible. Multiple diodes and cell connections prevent disproportionate loss of output in shade - unlike 'traditional' solar panels. Combined with the EFTE non-stick top sheet, the panels remain clean and operational without the need for maintenance.
