The B&G V60 series VHF radios offer the option of a Class B AIS transponder (V60) or an AIS transponder (V60-B), which not only receives AIS targets but also transmits your yacht's position to nearby vessels with AIS. This allows other skippers to detect your boat day or night in all conditions. AIS information can be viewed on the radio's built-in screen or as an overlay on your chart or radar screen via a compatible chartplotter.
The V60-B is equipped with a Class B AIS transponder, which not only receives AIS targets but also transmits the position of your yacht to vessels with AIS. This helps other skippers to detect your yacht in all conditions, both during the day and at night. A dual-channel AIS receiver monitors the position of AIS-equipped vessels.
