Water and solid contaminants accumulating in the tank often generate failure in your engine fuel pump and injection system
 
The function of the filter is to :
 
•Provide efficient separation : water is denser than fuel and flows downward into the filter.
•Filtrate contaminants : the solid contaminants are filtered completely through the filter element, preventing any ingression.
