Originally developed by the US Army, this silicone tape provides a reliable solution for sealing leaks in water and/or exhaust systems in case of an emergency on board. Very effective at temperatures from -50°C to +260°C. Silicone tape isolates also up to 8000 volts per unstretched layer. The breaking strength is tested up to 700psi, and the tape close leaks (6 bar) to effectively 85psi.
PSP Silicone tape is resistant to mild acids, fuels, oils, solvents, ozone, UV and flame. The silicone has many applications in case of emergency to get you home safely without undue damage to your ship.
Always apply tape with 50% overlap and at least 100% stretch.
