Garmin gWind™ Race transducer
Details
Designed for sailboats participating in races
Straight 1-meter pole lifts transducer above mast to prevent turbulence errors
Three-bladed propeller for more accurate true wind speed in lighter air; twin-fin design for more stable true wind angle
Optical readout technology provides superior performance at low wind speeds and excellent linearity
The GND™ 10 black-box bridge converts NMEA 2000® data to the Nexus Network and allows Garmin compatible chartplotters to be integrated with Nexus sailing equipment and vice versa
Designed for sailboats participating in races, gWind™ Race features a 1-meter straight pole that raises the transducer above the mast to prevent turbulence errors. It features twin-fin technology with a 3-bladed propeller for more accurate measurement of true wind speed in lighter air, while the twin-fin design gives a more stable true wind angle. The 3-bladed propeller, unlike a cup design, is always efficient.
Combined with optical readout, this transducer offers superior accuracy at low wind speeds and excellent linearity. And everything is connected with our lightest cable. Using the GND 10 black-box bridge, the Nexus Network and Garmin compatible chartplotters can share essential NMEA 2000 data. Easy plug-and-play installation between Nexus, Garmin chartplotters and NMEA 2000.
